How can I help?
Keeping our homeless
warm through Winter
Imagine this… It’s winter.
You’re alone on the streets.
It’s cold and you have nothing to keep you warm.
Well, that’s the reality for so many people.

The Blanket & Beanie Appeal is a month long charity drive that is run with our participating schools throughout May.

The charity sees student leaders from these schools unite to collect blankets, beanies, scarves and other valuable donations to be given to the homeless just before winter.

These people are doing it tough on the streets. Let’s do our little bit and help keep them warm this Winter.

Let’s do our little bit and help keep them warm this Winter.

Our Story

The Blanket & Beanie Appeal originated at Baulkham Hills Baptist Church many years ago.

The first appeal was run through Pennant Hills High School in 2016. The drive was a success, collecting over 200 donations.

In 2017 we were joined by William Clarke College and together, the 2 schools collected over 400 donations.

By 2019, we had grown to 6 participating high schools and the combined effort from the schools, school leaders and sponsors, along with the obviously generous communities, we collected over 1000 donations!

Now in 2021, we have 12 schools participating that you can drop donations off to:

Pennant Hills High School
Cherrybrook Technology High School
Muirfield High School
Rouse Hill Anglican College
Oakhill College
Rouse Hill High School
Crestwood High School
Penrith Selective High School
Kellyville High School
The Ponds High School
Castle Hill High School
William Clarke College

Our aim is to help the homeless by providing much needed warm clothing and items.

What do we do?

We run a month long appeal in May through our participating high schools in Sydney.

We then collect the donations in June, store them, then hand them over to our organisations who distribute to the homeless.
